Materials
Cardboard box (we used Capri Sun juice boxes, 12 or 16 count)
Artist gesso (or white acrylic paint)
Tempera paints (primary colors - red, yellow, blue and white)
Containers for mixing paint
Brushes
Elmer's Glue (or low-temp glue gun)
Modeling clay
Decorative paper
Cut-out pictures from old calendars and magazines
aluminum foil (to create mirrors)
Beads
Crochet cotton (to string beads)

Directions
1. Cut the lid of the cardboard box. Paint it completely white with gesso or acrylic.

2. While the paint is drying, create your Gods or Goddesses out of clay (we like Modeling Magic). Also, make puja thalis, bowls, fruits, torans, etc. You can create malas out of beads.

3. After you have created all the objects for your room, go back to your box. (The gesso should be dry by now.) Mix your colors and paint.

4. When paint is dry, decorate your puja room with rhinestones, sequins, beads, decorative paper, etc. Glue your objects into place.
