Comments: It was lovely to see our eager and enthusiastic children on this beautiful spring Sunday. We started our class with chanting Om three times and then went on to do our yoga stretches. It was fun doing all the different stretches and warm up jumps.
Once we were all warmed up it was time for Shlokas. The kids loved to help lead the Shlokas. Some of the little helpers were able to lead the Shlokas all by themselves. Satvik taught us a new Shloka ‘Akanda Mandalakaram’. After Shlokas and Chanting, it was time for Bhajans. We loved to dance to Great God Hanumaji and we got really creative with Khate Bhi Ram Kaho. The kids had lots of fun. Pragna and her mom taught us a new Rama Bhajan and Satvik and his mom lead us through ‘Atma Rama’. We then chanted the five verses of chapter 12 of the Geeta as a group. Some of the kids were able to chant the verses all by themselves. After chanting the Geeta, we reviewed pictures of different Gods and what they ride on. It was very interesting.

At craft time we made colorful spring flowers. The kids did an awesome job of gluing all the pieces together to make some beautiful looking flowers. After working hard on their craft, it was snack time. Although Mukil was not able to be in class today, he and his family brought in snack for the entire class.

After snack we counted to 10 in Sanskrit and got ready for Story time. Today we heard the story of the proud little Apple Blossom and through the story we learnt the importance of inner beauty.

We ended out class with the closing Shlokas.
Aarti and pledge was in the auditorium.
