Comments:
This week the theme was about being kind to others. Kids reviewed their shlokas after the yoga stretches. Now we totally recognize Ganesha, the way he looks, his favorite food, his vehicle and so much more. We reviewed 'Karagre vasate lakshmi' and learn a little about the meaning of the shloka. To learn all these shlokas so perfectly we definitely need the help of Goddess Saraswati, so we prayed to her to give us some knowledge and also help us in this journey. Did you realise there is a shloka for every important thing that we do. What about the shloka we say before we eat? Do you remember that?
We practiced some more Gita chanting and it was wonderful to see so much progress already and from hereon it is only going to be easy. It was really good to see that parents have already memorized so much. Thank you everyone for the hard work. To make it easier to recite please see the wonderful online tool.
We made changes to our regular format of the class. From now on we will have the story before the craft. This week we had Nanda Aunty tell us the story. Thanks to her the story was so interesting to listen and also to see. She showed us some wonderful pictures of birds and other animals. In the story we learnt why the owl doesn't have a neck and has long ears. We also saw how the owl was making fun of all the other birds and so was punished by ' everything maker' Do you remember who is everything maker? What did we learn from the owl's story?
We further talked about the theme by doing a craft about the owl. Kids saw how the owl looked, how it didn't have a neck and had long ears. Parents you can talk more about the story and the craft with the kids at home so they understand that it is never okay to make fun of others or to be unkind.
We counted till 10 in Sanskrit and also played a fun game in Sanskrit.

The game is a Sanskrit version of Simon says, we call it 'Hanuman vadati', the kids enjoyed this game a lot. A link is provided below for this game. The link talks about krsna vadati but you can replace it with any god. We learnt a lot of Sanskrit words, list is provided below:
उपविशतु
उत्तिष्ठतु
उत्पततु
भ्रमतु
नृत्यतु
तरतु
धावतु
