Comments:
This week we saw a full house after a long time. It was wonderful again to see the old faces and some new ones. We began our class with wonderful stretches, to warm the whole room and the little bodies. Once we did all our favorite poses we began the chanting. We are still doing a review of our shlokas and today we reviewed shloka about Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati. We also remembered our Guru and recited a shloka for him.
We are learning so many new bhajans these days. We learnt a new one today about Lord Subrahmanya.  What a nice bhajan this  was, we reviewed the Rama bhajan and Aunty asked us to come with 2 more new actions we can add to the song. Please Remember to do that next week. We are done with 4 shlokas in Geetha chanting and very soon will reach our goal. Parents you can refer to the link below for an excellent online tool.
Our theme this week was Bheema and Bakasura. We learnt how the brave Bheema killed Bakasura with his strength. In the story we saw how Bakasura was troubling the villagers and so Bheema saved them by killing this rakshasa.
We made a craft of a bullock cart, this villagers used this to transport food to bakasura. Bheema also travelled in this to go to Bakasura’s house.
In our sctivity, we reviewed the pictures of Shiva, Parvati and their sons Ganesha and Kartikeya. We also heard a story of why Ganesha has a snake around his tummy. Can you come up with 2 names for each one in Shiva parivaar.
   Questions for this week.
  • Two names for each member in Shiva parivaar?
  • How did Bheema help the villagers?
  • Who is Guru?
Our special thanks to both families for bringing a tasty snack. We also gave our ‘धन्यवाद’ in Sanskrit.
