Story: Story of Pigeons and Hunter

Art Project: none

Sanskrit: We reviewed our colors and animals. We also learned the word for net (जालः), hunter (व्याधः), bird (खगः) and mouse (मूषकः) from our story. Each child received a paper beak (in the colors we are learning.) We then had "our little birds of different colored beaks" play a game. (Blue bird sit down – नीलः खगः उपविशतु, red bird stand up - रक्तः खगः उत्तिष्ठतु, etc.)

End of Class: Aarthi and Pledge were done in the auditorium.

Comments: Our Gita Chanting is really coming along nicely. Someone already has the second shloka memorized -- impressive! We will continue to work with Shlokas 1 and 2 during the month of December, and then plan to introduce Shloka 3 in January.

Thanks again, Ram Uncle for running out to the store for our snack time ... you really were our "Hanuman bringing the mountain of medicine" back to us.

Parents, please, if you are signed up for snack, make sure that you bring in supplies for 35 children. If, however, you are not able to come to class, then please contact one of the sevikas that morning (before 8:00 a.m.) so we can make sure our "little birds" aren't disappointed.

Don't forget, kids: we'll have some fun stickers waiting for you, if you can tell us the "Words of the Week." Also, let's see if someone can introduce us to a new dog bark. ;-)
