Comments: We had a busy class today. It was a beautiful morning and the children were very cheerful. We started out with our usual Yoga warm up. After Yoga, we sat down to chant our shlokas. We chanted the Bhagavad Gita after shlokas. We practiced verses 1 - 3. It seems like we are slowly yet steadily getting there! Then we sang our Bhajans, especially our all time favorite great God Ganapathy and Khate bhi Raam kaho. After that we had our snacks. Neela and her family brought in the snack today. After snack time, we counted 1 - 10 in English and Sanskrit and got ready to learn the colors. The children were amazing and did a fantastic job of remembering all the colors, even the new ones!then we heard the story of the silly goose that was too proud of her red feather. It made her become so mean and she tried to scare everyine around with that, but she could scare the farmer's car! She got scared instead and lost her precious red feather. It made her realize that what we have is not more important than how we conduct ourselves and how we treat other people. After story time we made our craft which was a goose with a single red feather in her tail. After craft, we played our new game of head-shoulders-knees and toes in Sanskrit and then had a fun game of Ganesha vadati. We then sang Om Jaya jagadeesha Hare and finished with the ending shlokas. Meet us next week for yet another fun filled class.
