What a busy Sunday morning this was...oohh, what were the Aunties thinking! We did so much today that we really need the week long rest.  We began with our regular yoga stretches and it was delightful to see that the little ones were leading us with the poses. It was so much fun to watch them stretch their bodies and enjoy it too. Keep stretching little friends.

This week we all talked about Navratri and learnt a new Shloka about goddess Lakshmi. We also saw how goddess Lakshmi looks like and that she sits in a lotus flower. We also saw what goddess Saraswati holds in her hand and that her favorite color is white. Thank you Shanta Aunty for the nice portraits.

This was the week we began chanting Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 13. It feels a little difficult right now but thanks to Sangeetha Aunty it will get much more easier in the coming weeks.

The biggest surprise was the wonderful craft Rupa Aunty got for us. It was an unbelievably good Devi pop card. Thanks to Rupa Aunty for introducing such a beautiful craft, everyone was truly thrilled to make this craft.

Now our kids are one more step ahead in Sanskrit, besides counting till 10 in Sanskrit our kids also know two colors in Sanskrit, 'green' and 'red'.

This week we also got some more information about the Cord Walkathon which will be on October 28, 2012. More information will follow soon.

We heard a story about the poor lady Shreeya who was so sincere in her prayers that Lakshmi Devi had to come visit her to grant blessings. We also learnt that Goddess Lakshmi answers to anyone who prays with a sincere heart.

      Review questions for this week.

      • Why did Lakshmi Devi only visit Shreya?
      • What does the Goddess expect of us?
      • What should we do to welcome her?

Also special thanks to Akhilesh's  parents for bringing a tasty snack. We also gave our ‘धन्यवाद’ in Sanskrit.
