Happy New Year to all our little friends and their families. Hope this year brings the best for all of us.
A two week break makes it hard to get back to normal routine but everyone was pleasantly surprised to see all the familiar innocent faces back. We learnt a lot of new lessons this week and as usual our kids are so open to learning new material that it encourages us to do more.
We began our class with yoga warm up. This was a much needed warm up for the teachers as well the kids. It is also easy to get them back to this class routine with this exercise tool. We of course jumped, crawled, roared and fluttered back into this class. We tried to remember how Lord Ganesha looked and also the Shloka we say for him. Of course we started the new year with a new Shloka about Guru. Who is Guru, do you remember? let us find out in the next class. We also learnt a new bhajan about Rama. This bhajan tell us that we can remember Rama whenever we want to. We can remember him while eating, dancing, painting, singing, basically all the time.
We have made progress in Geetha chanting also we learnt Shloka 4. Refer to the link below for an excellent online tool.

Our theme this week was Greed. This was a difficult theme to talk about because our innocent children are away from this vice. The story we talked about is a great way of explaining to them what greed is. Also as one parent put it in their language 'you get what you get and you don't regret' is one way of explaining to them in everyday life. Try to talk about the story whenever you can so the kids understand what Greed is?
We further made a craft about the greedy dog which as we all aware is to understand the story better.
