Comments: What a fun class it was today!! We had 4 new friends who may be joining us next year. It was the last Parent Participation session for this year and we had an amazing response to this event all through May! We started out with our 3 OMs and did some Yoga stretching exercises and moved on to Shlokas. We had so many volunteers for the shlokas. Special Thanks to Vikram, Shravamti, Aadhya, Ashwini, Anushka, Rhea, Navya, Shravya, Tejas, Reya, Dia, Satvik and all our wonderful Toddlers who did an awesome job with the shlokas and Bhajans. During Bhajan , we came to know about the hidden talents of the Moms and Dads! Tejas and his mom started with a Hanuman Bhajan. Then Satvik’s mom taught us a Ganapathy Bhajan to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little star. Then it was Shravya’s turn to sing a bhajan on Lord Rama. After this Dia and her mom sang a cute Bhajan on Lord Krishna followed by Reya and her dad with another Bhajan on Lord Rama. We, of course, had to finish off with our favorite Hanuman Bhajan and our new favorite Khate bhi Ram kaho! After Bhajan we sat down and recited our Geeta shlokas 1 – 5 of Chapter 11. After this it was time for craft. Aniketh and Akhilesh’s mom taught us how to make friendship bands with beads and pipe cleaners. Everyone loved to make beautiful friendship bands! After craft we had our snack time after chanting brahmArpaNam. Today, Samvrit and his family provided the snack. After snack time, we had the last story of this year’s Balavihar with Nanda Aunty. Nanda Aunty will not be able to join our class picnic on June 5th. So she said good bye to the toddler class today. Hope some our friends graduating to Pre-K next year will be in her class! The story was about how Bheema killed Bakasura and saved the people of Ekachakra village where the Pandavas went into hiding for a whole year. Then it was time to finish off with the ending prayers. In all we enjoyed today’s class and all of the parent participation sessions. Thank you once again, Parents, for taking the time and making the effort to make it really fun for the children! See you all on June 5th. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
