Its sad that we are getting closer and closer to the end of this year but we are still doing something new every week. Now in the class we have too many little teachers but its fun to see how much they have learnt over the past few weeks.
As always we began our class with some stretching and jumping to get ready for the summer. We now know all the poses better than Rupa Aunty. We have covered almost all the yoga poses and can become a downward dog, to a hissing snake, to a turtle in no time. We reviewed our shloka about Lord Krishna and also learnt a new shloka about Lord Rama. Shanta Aunty also said that if we say this shloka one time its like chanting the whole Vishnu Sahasranama. We also chanted the Gayatri Mantra and reviewed our old bhajans. This week our theme was about honesty. We spoke about the Honest woodcutter who was rewarded well for his honesty. What did he get for being honest?
We also made a craft keeping with this theme. Hopefully everyone had fun decorating it. As Rupa aunty suggested we can use it for gardening.
We are ready for our Geetha Chanting competition and now we can chant without the help of Sangeetha Aunty.
Parents please don't forget the date for Geetha chanting which is next Saturday. Our time as suggested by Rupa aunty is 9:30. You are welcome to participate even if you didn't register.
Parents for extra practice; you can refer to the link below for more guidance.

This week we played Head, shoulders knees and toes in sanskrit, by now the kids are experts in this game.  This is also a fun way to introduce new words to children. You can play this game at home with kids. Please find the link to the game below.

Questions for this week?
  • What is honesty?
  • What did the woodcutter get as a reward?
  • Who is the God we are talking about in the new bhajan Nandalala?
  • Which Entrance should we use to Enter and Exit?

Look out for more fun crafts in the future. Also special thanks to kids and parents for bringing a tasty snack. We also gave our ‘
धन्यवाद’ in Sanskrit. Please remember to bring a healthy snack as discussed in class. Thank you for your support.
