Looking at all your medals we could see how successful our Geetha Chanting was. It was so nice to see all the little ones with medals. Congratulations to some of the parents who participated in the competition and won.
Its sad but we only have a few more weeks left for our classes. Please note that we will not be meeting for next two weeks. May 5th we will all be going to the ashram for the annual day celebrations. So, there is no class that Sunday. On May 19th we have a special class which involves parent participation. Parents who were in the class might have signed but some parents who did not sign up can do that  by sending an email to us. Please keep the stories, bhajans, shlokas simple so that kids can also enjoy.
On June 2nd which will be our last class we will be having a potluck and do something special like a picnic in the school grounds. For those of you who did not sign up for snack can do so now by signing up potluck.
This week we reviewed our old shlokas and chanted them together. Since a lot has been taught throughout the year we need to keep reviewing it to make sure we know. This week we talked about Guru. We chanted a shloka about Guru. In bhajans we learnt a new bhajan which was 'Achyutam keshavam' which most of the adults know but is a little difficult for kids in the beginning. As we do with the other shlokas we will keep reviewing them to get better at it. We sang all our favorite bhajans and are getting really good at them.
We listened to a story about Guru bhakti and how having faith in the guru helps us succeed in our ventures. We saw how Aruni kept his faith in Guruji and protected the fields even when he was cold and scared.
We made a beautiful craft keeping with this theme about Guruji.
We didnt have time this week for any game but please refer to the links below for some games.

  • What did aAruni do?
  • Who is the God we are talking about in the new bhajan Nandalala?
  • Which Entrance should we use to Enter and Exit?
Look out for more fun crafts in the future. Also special thanks to kids and parents for bringing a tasty snack. We also gave our ‘धन्यवाद’ in Sanskrit. Please remember to bring a healthy snack as discussed in class. Thank you for your support.
