Oh what a wonderful class it was. We had so much fun and so did the parents. This class was special; as parents were teachers and teachers were audience. All the parents did such wonderful job singing, exercising, dancing, story telling and playing. Special thanks to Ramya for playing the keyboard, it added a special touch to the bhajans. Our Balvihar has come to an end, we only have one last class left. This will be an equally fun class where we will get to eat as well. Parents if any of you missed participating in the last class, you can still do so as we have the June 2nd class for that.
Our class started with the usual stretches but it was lead by Archana Aunty (kush's Mom). The kids had lots of fun following her directions and also learnt a new pose which was the cat stretch. This was followed by some wonderful shlokas led again by Archana Aunty, Rekha Aunty (Ishita's mom) and Vidya Aunty (Ryka's mom)
Then we had a wonderful musical journey led by Gayathri and Kaamakshi Aunties Vamika and Atharv's mom, Shalini Aunty Aarush Bhat's mom, Arkith Uncle, Niki Aunty (Dhara's mom) and Radha Aunty Nivedha's mom. They were all supported on the keyboard by Ramya Aunty Sneha's mom. We really appreciate all the effort that was put in by the parents in making this a wonderful session.
We also chanted all our Geeta Shlokas with the help of Priti Aunty (Nethri's mom).
After the bhajans we learnt something new about Lord hanuman. We learnt that he liked to eat butter when he was a baby and he was very naughty when he was a small boy. Do you recall any other god who loves to eat butter? We had a wonderful story session by Preeti Aunty (Vaishnavi and Om's mom). She did a wonderful job making the story so interesting. The kids really had lot of fun listening to it.
In our class there is no session complete without the craft and thanks to our wonderful Lakshmi Aunty we were able to make a beautiful flower craft. You can put a picture of anyone in the center to make it more personal.
We ended our session with a game that we have played so many times but it looked new because of Preety Aunty; who did a wonderful job playing the game with us. Do we remember all the words we learnt in the song? let us run it again in the next class. For reviewing the words please refer to the link below.
