Comments: Our first class in the New Year was just great. It was very nice to see all our little friends in the class, picking up where they left off. We said our beginning prayers and then the yoga helped us warm up.   Then we happily sat down to chant our Stotras  and Bhagavat Gita.  As they are getting more familiar, the children are also joining in the chanting.  After Gita chanting we sang some Bhajans including our favorites Great God Ganapathy and Khaate bhi Raam kaho.  Then we said Brahmaarpanam and thanked Sneha's family  for the delicious snack and had snack time. After snack time, we counted 1 - 10 in English and Sanskrit and got ready to learn our colors.  We continued to work on our colors book to learn our colors in a fun way! We will continue with the book next class. Then it was story time. We heard the story of the ant and the dove who helped each other and became good friends. We finished with two fun games- Shirah skandau and Hanuman vadati (with colors). The class was completed with Aarti and chanting Om Poornamadah. We will meet again for our next class on January 26th.
